Acer F1. Battery friendly smartphone
With a huge touchscreen, 12mm thin body and sleek black design, people have been drooling over the Acer F1 since it’s first public outing at the MCW in February. Back then, all there was to see was a turned-off shell locked away in a display case. Now Acer have turned on the lights and – so far at least – it seems the future’s bright for this phone.
Taking a peek under the hood, the most impressive fact is that the Acer F1 will run on Snapdragon. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform offers unprecedented processing performance combined with low power consumption. This is absolutely vital for the new generation of smart mobiles as there’s nothing more annoying than a phone with more gadgets and flashiness that you can shake a stick at, but a battery life that would make the Energizer bunny weep in shame. With Snapdragon devices can be “always-on”. So whether you’re using 3G mobile broadband, WiFi, Bluetooth, or GPS, you can be confident you don’t need to carry a charger in your pocket. Something that never impresses the ladies.
Other features of the Acer F1
include:
- 3.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels
- HSDPA 7.2Mbps
- GPS
- Wi-Fi
- 3.5mm headset jack
- FM radio
- 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash
There’s also an Acer F1 review here. Or you can take a look at this mightily impressive video for a hint of what we’ve got to look forward to.
