The Genio Pro Deserves a Make Over

Samsung Genio ProIf you have seen the image of the Genio Pro at Moby 1, you know there is something wrong about how the design of the device is so gender specific. Not to be biased on gender here, I do want phones for everyone, but when a manufacturer is ambiguous about the gender market of a device, I am inclined to believe that it should be something appealing to all sexes.

The bright cherry just does not look like something a man can pull out of his pocket without looking like he’s short a chromosome. It’s a pretty phone with a pretty colour, I do believe that it’s a nice colour. Certainly, there are other less specific colours available. Black and white are staple choices after all. The catch comes if you happen to like red.

Speaking of mobile phones of a specific colour, it would be nice to have the Genio Pro in the exact colour you need. Have you seen the specs on this thing? It was made to be the perfect organizer. The keyboard, the messaging options and all the features point to making this device the perfect professional little helper. I did read that the QWERTY keyboard needs a little work, I have not tried it myself but I am confident that I can type on almost anything anyway.

Anyway, phones rarely go well with our clothes; not everyone will invest in different casings just for the versatility of colour choices. I will not; but I would appreciate it if manufacturers added in the extra cases by default. Besides, it is fun having a little variety once in a while. Not just with the Samsung models, I personally have a lot of old BlackBerrys (BlackBerries?) that I would love to do over with color; and yes, I think the red Genio Pro would look great on me.
