Nokia 5530 XpressMusic-Top class media phone!

Nokia 5530 XpressMusicThe Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is one of the new devices to join the prestigious XpressMusic line up. This phone will probably hit the market some time later this year. With a thickness of 13 mm and a weight of 107 g, this is one of the more pocket friendly models to be released. The 2.9 inch TFT display is also quite impressive as it allows you to view your media quite clearly. This screen is both vibrant and colorful allowing up to 16 million colors to be displayed. The 360 x 640 pixel resolution is also pretty impressive as all images displayed on it appear nice and clear. The proximity sensor on the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic allows you to turn it off automatically when you don’t use it for a while. The screen features an accelerometer sensor which means that you can rotate the phone to view your media in landscape mode if you want to. The screen also has handwriting recognition software ensuring that any data stored this way remains secure. You can even lock the screen if you want to! The onboard memory of 70 MB might seem a bit small, but you can always expand this up to 16 GB using the microSD memory card slot on the side of the phone.

Connectivity options in the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic include class 32 GPRS, class 32 EDGE and Wi-Fi. Nokia has surprisingly excluded 3G connectivity, which is quite a huge disadvantage as you cannot use the phone to make video calls. Even internet speeds are quite slow unless you are in a Wi-Fi zone. Transferring data across a short distance is easy via Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. If you want to transfer large files or a folder, you should make use of the USB port on the side of the phone.
