Touch + QWERTY = Motorola DEXT
Has Motorola ever disappointed us with their offerings? The latest one which is about to hit the shelves in October is the Motorola DEXT, which is based on the Android OS, which is one great reason to purchase the phone. Another reason why the phone is a real treat is the MOTOBLUR UI, which combines really well with the Android OS. The MOTOBLUR UI provides you with integrated and quick access to your messages, feeds, email and photos as well as one – touch access to social networks like Facebook and MySpace. Moreover, there is a facility in the Motorola DEXT whereby you can set the phone to receive all the messages from your social network accounts directly to your phone in a single inbox, thereby saving a lot of hassle.
The phone makes use of a 3.1 inch touchscreen which has a very crisp resolution of 320×480 pixels. The 5 megapixel camera which comes with the phone has auto – focus to ensure clear images as well as geo – tagging. The camera isn’t much to talk about, but does its job well.
As far as the looks of the DEXT is concerned, it looks quite stylish and is fairly slim at 15.6 mm, which isn’t so bad considering the fact that it is a slider. However, it is quite heavy at 163 grams and can feel quite uncomfortable in your pocket if you are wearing tight jeans.
The phone has a good music player which supports a variety of formats. The phone has a 3.5 mm headset jack which can be used to plug in your favourite headset. You don’t have to be restricted to the proprietary headset which comes with the phone. The phone comes in 3 colour schemes, namely titanium, black and white.
Motorola DEXT Reviews have been quite positive. The phone will be available on Orange UK on some great Motorola DEXT contracts.
