Android OS and Affordability are the unique points of the HTC Tattoo

HTC TattooPhew, we were starting to get exhausted with all those leaks and rumours that have been doing the rounds with regard to the HTC Click but HTC have finally put them all to rest with an official announcement that the HTC Click will be released under the name of HTC Tattoo. The name gives us a clear idea into the market HTC is trying to target with its affordable Android OS phone. The phone may also appeal to the mass market as well.

The perfectly designed HTC Tattoo is unique in a certain aspect. It will be the first Android phone to make use of a QVGA resistive touchscreen, which is a step away from the norm (high – resolution HVGA capacitive screen). HTC have given an explanation for this, saying that the resistive technology works well with 2.8 inches screens like that of the HTC Tattoo. A 528 MHz Qualcomm CPU will be what the HTC Tattoo will run on, along with 256 MB of RAM. These amazing specs mean that you don’t have to worry about the speed of the Tattoo.

The main features of the phone include the microSD memory card slot (capable of holding a 32 GB microSD card as well), accelerometer sensor, FM radio, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, miniUSB sport, 3.5 mm headset jack (enabling you to use your favourite headset to listen to songs), GPS and Wi-Fi. The HTC Tattoo will make use of HTC’s Sense UI.

In their report, HTC also mentioned that the Tattoo will be released in UK and the rest of Europe during the start of October and will then be released around the world in the coming months. Though they didn’t mention the pricing, other HTC Tattoo Reviews have been saying that the phone will be released for around 200 Euros (which translates to about 180 Pounds).
