Samsung M6710 Beat Disc
At the MWC 2009, Samsung unveiled two music – centric phones, one of which is the M6710 BEAT DISC. The Samsung M6710 BEAT DISC is the perfect combination of superb sound, touchscreen technology and great design. The Samsung M6710 BEAT DISC is a phone which is set to truly satisfy the tastes of all music lovers, giving users the very best in audio technology in a beautiful package. Throw in an intuitive UI along with a touchscreen and you are set to have a lot of fun.
The BeatDisc gives the user a slider keyboard along with the superb experience of having a touchscreen at your disposal. Running on the DISC UI, the BeatDisc comes with Bang & Olufsen audio technology, which makes the audio much more crisp. An advanced music application is also available for searching and buying the songs which you like.
The phone has a 2.6 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 240×400 and also has an accelerometer sensor. It also has a 3.5mm jack, which enables you to plug in your favourite headset, enhancing the music experience.
In addition to the inbuilt memory of 80MB, you can enhance the memory of the phone by way of the microSD card slot provided. A maximum of 16GB card can be inserted. As far as connectivity goes, the phone has support for 7.2Mbps HSDPA but, quite strangely, only has Bluetooth v1.2, which means that data transfers through Bluetooth will be fairly slower than normal.
The BeatDisc is equipped with a 3.15MPIX camera, which can record videos @ 15 fps. The standard Samsung document viewer is also available, whereby you can view documents, excel sheets as well as presentations.
