Motorola Backflip New Release Model

Motorola BackflipMotorola Backflip is a smartphone that comes with a QWERTY keyboard, and several other features. Motorola, after it did not release an outstanding design or model for mobiles, comes recently with the launching of the well-received Motorola Milestone. The question asked by its creators and the general public is will Motorola Backflip be able to reach the expectations of the public?

The new model comes in a shape that is public friendly, because its edges are rounder and softer than of the previous models. The new features included are handset features a 3.1 inch, touchscreen display of 320 x 480 resolution. The key-board is reversed flip-out. It also has a touchpad situated in its back that works just like a laptop touchpad.

Motorola wanted to insert these options because some users find it annoying to scroll around the display leaving finger prints all around. For this reason it was created with the touchpad so that the users would have the possibility to navigate in what would be considered a stylish manner. There is no other cursor with the keyboard. Also you will have to observe that the keypad is reasonably big to allow you to tap without any inconveniences.

Another aspect to be observed is the placing of the camera along with the keypad. The camera can be used both for videoconferences and for taking pictures. It is a good innovation that helps you not to play all the time with two cameras for your device. Compared to the phones that have two cameras included this mobile phone comes with a 5 megapixels camera and also with LED flash. The hardware consists of a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor. I have 512 Mb ROM and 256 Mb RAM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. As for the operation system Android 2.1 with the Motorola Motoblur integrate multiple functions including social networking.

Considered the performances of the hard, as well as the speed of the operating system one would realize that this model is not the fastest model available, but rather it is a different aspect than the previous Milestone model. The positive aspects of the hand-set are clearly the 5 megapixels camera and the back touchpad. The aspects that are not as expected are the little lack of design of the back touchpad and also the quality of the screen which had the potential to be clearer. In a few words this mobile phone would be described by the following attributes: 3G, 5 megapixels, Android, GPS, Bluetooth, GSM, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, battery Li-ion, microSD, Touchscreen, MP3 Player, 3.5mm Jack, back touchpad. All in all, this model seems to do a good job.

To sum up, it is important to precise that the mobile phone is set to be launched in the first quarter of this year in UK. The previous models already were pre-ordered even before being released so now the general public would wait for the impact of the new model on the market.

Android Smartphone Motorola Droid Gets Unveiled

Motorola MILESTONE 2The new Motorola DROID QWERTY slider touchscreen smartphone is the world’s first Android handset running the latest 2.0 version of the open-source Google platform.  The new handset is the product of three players that have put their best foot forward, so to speak.  You have Motorola who made the hardware.  You have Google who supplied the Android OS and other software products, Motorola is said to have not bothered putting its 2-cents worth on the software. Then you have Verizon who actually owns the Droid name as it plans to out Verizon-exclusive handsets under the Droid brand. That basically puts Motorola as an OEM.

Features

In Europe, the Motorola DROID will be the Motorola Milestone and will feature pretty much the same hardware and software features. Except for having CDMA which Europe doesn’t need.

For starters, the handset is your basic GSM and 3G/ UMTS supporting HSPA data connectivity for broadband online surfing with WiFi 802.11b/g as well as Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR for wireless data connectivity. It is arguably the world’s thinnest full QWERTY slider touchscreen smartphone at only 13.7mm. With Google firmly behind it, you get Google Maps navigation unique to the Android and is as good as any GPS system with spoken turn-by-turn guidance provided free of charge.

It’s got a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and zoom as well as DVD-quality video recording.  Its multimedia features ends with a brilliant 3.7” capacitive touchscreen display with wide-VGA resolution and auto-rotate accelerometer. Memory is modest but you get microSD expansion support for up to 32GB.  Its sale package comes with 16GB microSD card.

Verdict

Motorola is keeping its fingers crossed that its Droid will be the phone to humble the iPhone 3Gs. With a flawless telephony features on an equally flawless Verizon network, the Motorola DROID can be expected to be communicator first and a versatile entertainment handset second.  The iPhone has that in reverse.  Expect this to hit the European markets by end of November under the Milestone name.

MotoBlur is a unique interface, which brings all your important data including pictures, messages and news feed from social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook in your easy access. You can customize your home screen the way you want and can modify it with your favorite applications and widgets as it is convenient to you.

The MotoBlur interface, which actually uses the Android operating system platform to ensure the combined stream of all the “happenings”, as it is termed in the MotoBlur interface, from all your social networking accounts. In fact, if you put your status on the home screen of your phone, it will be submitted to all your social networking accounts simultaneously. The MotoBlur interface also synchronizes your address book on various accounts into your phone, which you can organize the way you like. Touch + QWERTY = Motorola DEXT

Motorola DEXTHas Motorola ever disappointed us with their offerings? The latest one which is about to hit the shelves in October is the Motorola DEXT, which is based on the Android OS, which is one great reason to purchase the phone. Another reason why the phone is a real treat is the MOTOBLUR UI, which combines really well with the Android OS. The MOTOBLUR UI provides you with integrated and quick access to your messages, feeds, email and photos as well as one – touch access to social networks like Facebook and MySpace. Moreover, there is a facility in the Motorola DEXT whereby you can set the phone to receive all the messages from your social network accounts directly to your phone in a single inbox, thereby saving a lot of hassle.

The phone makes use of a 3.1 inch touchscreen which has a very crisp resolution of 320×480 pixels. The 5 megapixel camera which comes with the phone has auto – focus to ensure clear images as well as geo – tagging. The camera isn’t much to talk about, but does its job well.

As far as the looks of the DEXT is concerned, it looks quite stylish and is fairly slim at 15.6 mm, which isn’t so bad considering the fact that it is a slider. However, it is quite heavy at 163 grams and can feel quite uncomfortable in your pocket if you are wearing tight jeans.

The phone has a good music player which supports a variety of formats. The phone has a 3.5 mm headset jack which can be used to plug in your favourite headset. You don’t have to be restricted to the proprietary headset which comes with the phone. The phone comes in 3 colour schemes, namely titanium, black and white.

Motorola DEXT Reviews have been quite positive. The phone will be available on Orange UK on some great Motorola DEXT contracts.

LG and Motorola Will Release First Androids This Year

LG GW620By the end of 2009 we are likely to see at least two Androids from both LG and Motorola, as Google speculated would happen earlier this year.

October guarantees us the release of both companies first ever Android mobile phones, Motorola’s “Shules” and LG’s “GW620”, both of which boast full QWERTY keyboards, 5 mega pixel cameras with auto focus, inbuilt GPS, wi-fi and a touch screen – both in a flip style design.

Detailed specs on both can be found at Which.co.uk.

The epic battle between the two Android mobile phones will be an interesting and intense one, with both phones boasting almost identical features, and both LG and Motorola choosing to aim the phone at buyers who prefer using their phones to social network and message above all else.

LG has the advantage of a larger following than Motorola in recent years, however if Motorola makes the Shules available on a cheaper plan than the GW620 it may see a return to the former glory it enjoyed in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The one innovation Motorola has made has been “Motoblur”; something Motorola claims is a technology unique to it, allowing a person to sync up their contacts, photos and messages from Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook and MySpace.

While LG boasts no such uniquely new and useful technology, it has stated that it has plans to release a whopping 13 new smartphone handsets over the coming 16 months, and is expected to unveil another three Windows Mobile smartphones within the next month, meaning they will offer a much greater choice to customers.

Stay tuned, as we’ll report more on Motorola VS LG after both phones hit the shelves in October.

Motorola ROKR ZN50 – the surviving touch

motorola-rokr-zn50-3With ROKR, the bar of Motorola has again risen after the buzz that it has been a very hard time for the makers. The name, ROKR, in itself suggests that this is a great handset for the music lovers as it has supports sound enhancing features, which will make your music tracks, sound even better. The best part of ROKR is that a phone similar to this will not be found in its category at [resent. The company has successfully come out with a responsive touch screen phone that is making a buzz in the mobile community.

If you are seeking out for cell phone featuring innovative features then ROKR will serve all your requirements. The handset features a 3.2 inches touchscreen having 240 x 427 pixel of resolution and displaying 256 colors. Running on Panorama User Interface, Motorola ROKR ZN50 is similar to a phone having the Google Android operating system. The 3-panel home screen system can be personalized and is very close to the effort made by t he Google. Now the users have the liberation to set one screen for attaining quick access to the organizational features of the phones such as calendar, Global Positioning System and various others, while the other screen can be used to offer quick access to the ultimate function of media player such as video player, and music player etc. the system is extremely user friendly and you can program it is no time as per your preferences.

The file format featured by the handset is MP3, WMA, as well as AAC+, which will support any music file you play and entertain you to the core. The users will find the Motorola ROKR ZN50 a cool music playing handset, that looks great and supports awesome features.

Motorola ROKR ZN50. Yay? Or Nay?

We’re undecided about the Motorola ROKR ZN50. Not about the phone itself, of course, experts that we are. To be brief: this is a typical mid-range phone with nothing much to write home about apart from a decent music player, an interesting Android-like user interface and above average looks. (Read this Motorola ZN50 review for a more in-depth summary of everything on offer here). No, what we can’t work out about the Motorola ZN50 is whether it suggests that Motorola themselves are going to survive, because (and we forgive you for not knowing this) they are up poop creek without a paddle, and its raining heavily in the toilet mountains all around.

Despite this not-too-shoddy list of Motorola phones, the manufacturer is not in a very good way at all. Too much past reliance on the RAZR, too little investment in new products and a whole bucket full of other mistakes has seen them slip into dangerously unprofitable territory. So, is the ROKR – a decent phone, without doubt – the sign that they’ve turned the corner, or is it part of the final death hacks from this beast?

Well, we haven’t a clue to be honest. We know that they’ve a couple of Google Android based phones on the way (the ROKR is running on a kind of faux-Android user interface called, strangely, ‘Panorama’), and we know that if they make a few more phones like this one, then things might be alright. But we also know that they’re arsed things up too many times in the past to trust them as far as you can throw them. And trust us on this, if nothing else: trying to throw a multi-national corporation is very, very hard indeed, try as we have done many a time.

Have a little look at this terrible video while you’re making up your own mind:

Flip & Touch with the Motorola Krave ZN4

The recently launched Motorola Krave ZN4 is a new phone which offers a touch screen user interface underneath a clear flip mechanism. However, it isn’t all good. I’ve noticed that a lot of the Motorola Krave ZN4 reviews that I’ve read seem to suggest that this phone is flawed in too many design aspects for it to be worth buying at all. However, I’m not sure I agree that strongly. I’m aware that the phone does have a lot of design problems and that it will need a big improvement for it to be anywhere near competitive with the leaders in the field, but I feel that saying it’s not worth buying is a bit over the top.
Admittedly the phone does have a few problems but it is still a good phone and isn’t all that bad. I’ve seen a lot of Motorola Krave ZN4 deals available and I know you can get the Motorola Krave ZN4 contract phone for free so you should be able to get yourself a good deal on this phone. Overall, the features of this phone are good and I think you’ll be pleased with the handset if you do decide to purchase it. I’ve also noticed that mobile phone deals in general are getting better and I think you’ll be happy to hear that as we get closer to Christmas they’re going to get better.
I like the Krave but I don’t really like it; it has a lot to offer but it doesn’t quite seem to be able to stand up to the best selling mobile phones and let’s be honest, having a touch screen phone isn’t all that anymore – it’s about what the phone can do. Without GPS, WiFi, or even a decent camera, this phone simply isn’t up to the standard it should be. However, it is still a good phone and if you have a look at the Motorola Krave ZN4 video review you’ll see I’m not the only one who thinks so.

A Closer Look at the Motorola Aura

The recently released Motorola Aura is probably one of the best looking phones that have ever been available. It may come with a huge price tag of £1200 but in my opinion, it is worth every penny. The phone has a swivel mechanism which works smoothly and was designed by Swiss Watch designers with ball bearings in place so that the swivel mechanism stays smooth for years and years. The phone really does have a great design and look to it. I’ve seen some Aura reviews and most seem to suggest that the best Motorola Aura orange contracts are where you can find the best deals on this phone.
I’ve also seen a Motorola Aura video which shows the phone in action and is a great watch if you’re interested in buying this phone. I really do think that if you’re interested in buying the Motorola Aura on contract then you should have a good look around before you make your decision. There are so many mobile phone contracts available online at the moment that you want to make sure you are going to get the best deal. In terms of the features on this phone – you’ll be pleased to hear it does have a camera. However, the phone’s other features are a little limited and it is clear that this phone was designed for style and isn’t supposed to be a smart phone with WiFi, GPS or an amazing camera. The phone does everything it needs to though and you’re buying the design of the exterior not the features inside – they’re just a bonus.
In my opinion, the Motorola Aura is a great phone and I really believe that it is worth the money. It may be a little pricey but I think that it fits in well to the market and is the only high quality luxury phone available right now that has any chance of being successful. If you’re in the market for a high quality and superiorly designed phone then you should get the Motorola Aura.
