Dr Skott Ahn, the CEO of LG, has been the president and CEO of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company starting year 2007. The expertise he has gained in the rising mobile trends and the formation of innovative technology products contributes largely to the success of the company.
Dr Skott Ahn, the CEO of LG, is a key innovator who directed the company towards the invention of revolutionary products in the industry of mobile phone technology. His leadership resulted to a significant improvement of the company.
One of the greatest achievements of LG was the release of the Black Label Series. Dr Skott Ahn used to be the head of LG Electronics Mobile Handset’s Research and Development Center. The initial release of the first Black Label Series handset was greatly influenced by his insight.
Dr Skott Ahn also spearheaded the launch of the third handset in the black series, the LG Secret, which came after the LG Shine Phone that also garnered great success.
LG worked together with PRADA fashion house to come up with the LG PRADA Phone. And another successful mobile handset is the LG Viewty that combines superior technology and stylish designs. These successes all happened under the management of Dr Skott Ahn. He believed in the importance of consumer insight.
When he was executive VP and head of LG Electronics Mobile Handset Research and Department Center in the year 2004, he has gained vast experience in mobile telephony that sparked the release of MP3 phones and megapixel camera phones. Prior to this, he became VP of Electronics Digital Audio Video Business Company during the year 2001 and VP of the Electronics Technology Support Division in 1999.
Dr Skott Ahn, the CEO of LG, studied electronics engineering at Seoul National University before joining the company LG in 1982. He earned his Ph.D. in 1992; and he finished the Advanced Management Program both at the same university in 2005. His education and experience contributes to the entire success of the LG Company.
